My dear Sarah, war is not like moose hunting you did in Wassila.
You never lost your kids in war, so you don't know how painful war is.
Your country has never been touched and destroyed by war like Europe, so you don't know how difficult war is.
What you know about war is: that's a task from God.
If that's the only thing you know about war, may God forgive you, my dear Sarah.
War is not a task from God. That's a task from Bush. That's something you don't know.

One month ago in an interview Governor Palin, when asked about the vice presidency, said someone who need to tell her what a vice president does. Last night she stated that she did not hesitate when asked to take a job she couldn't explain a month ago. This is troubling. Anyone who has no hesitation about a job of this magnitude and importance, who lacks the self awareness to question whether they are both worthy and ready, obviously doesn't understand the job and the impact of their potential decisions on the nation and the world.

But this kind of posturing does not help. Do we want to fight for a would-be ally that is looking for trouble with a country like Russia, not the most rational one, for internal political reasons? Not that we do not know any politicians who can be war-mongers for internal political reasons...
We've been witnessing some approach she takes about the war. She might think war is a game like hockey, do really America willing a war, even it was the case, do America ready for another war, as expected a warmonger has chosen a comrade to share a breakfast then throw the rest in a bin. Is she really what Mc Cain did want to offer us. During her first interview, she was not able to make the difference between national security and energy although Gibson highlighted it, she's really not yet ready. Come on America
ms palin can subtract diplomacy from her already short list of credentials. i believe that the united nations should/would intervene before any american hostilities take place. on the other hand, bush illegally invaded a defenceless country in the name of god without the consent of the UN. it seems like america also qualifies as a "rogue state".

How worrysome - not just for intelligent Americans but also for Europeans.I think Europe can deal with this crisis.We don´t need warmongers like Cheney and Palin who will only destabilize the Caucasus region further.Saakaschwili is not reliable.Georgia shouldn´t be given a Nato option as long as he is Prime Minister.He´d take Nato membership as a blank cheque to continue his civil war.Then Russia would be compelled to react again - and what then? World War III???
